9 grams of fiber, 10 grams of fun
Seeing as I spend most of my time eating bowl after bowl of high fiber cereal and cruising craigslist, it took a while to accumulate enough tidbits worthy of sharing with you all
I've been reading Philosophy of Andy Warhol (which I whole heartedly reccomend), and that - plus an abundance of free time - caused me to have a night of exsistential crisis. I mean really, what the hell is the point anyway?
And then Tegan, blessed girl that she is, came home. That helped a lot. I really don't like it when she's not home. I was still feeling very exsistential, but it wasn't as much of a crisis. Oh Tegan. I like her increasingly by the day, so I'm going to post this ridiculously flattering picture of us.

And then I awoke the next morning, and I had two messages that said "I'll talk to you tomorrow" - and that phrase was about as comforting as that picture is flattering. Very. It's like... yah - there will be a tomorrow, and in it - i will talk to you.
Since then the weather has been stunning and all of my classes are gems...so it's pretty much impossible not to be in a good mood.
Some pictures from Spring Break:

Pictures from an impromptu dining hall seder:

This was pretty amazing, even though it doesn't really look like I was there.
I was sure it topped all other seders ever. Then I talked to Kate.
She had Passover with Matisyahu.
K: "I held Matis' baby."
J: "Matis?"
K: "Yah, that's what he goes by."
Really, Kate? Tell us more about Matis.
If Kate wasn't so freakin cute I might have to hate her.
Besides spending a lot of time thinking about how cute Kate is, I'm finishing up my application for film school and the newspaper. I also just got on the Variety street team - which entails going to Variety parties and handing out gift bags. This could be awful or amazing. Hopefully it's awfully amazing.
In the meantime I've taken to wearing a lot of gold. Immigrant chic, as I explianed to Rahim. Also leggings and boots constitute my every day ensemble - so much so that some people refer to me as "that girl with the leggings and boots." This makes me feel like a cartoon character.
A really pleased cartoon character.
My summer plans include Europe, perhaps a late New York trip - and in between that becoming a chess master and finding an apprenticeship with an Indian woman who will teach me the ways of the cuisine.
I miss chall. A lot. Amy posted Chips Ahoy on YouTube. Now, I still firmly believe that this movie can only appeal to Chall, but I will still share it in case I am wrong.
A couple days later we recieved this email:
To Whom it May Concern:
I am a film scout from the Sundance Film Festival. I have
recently viewed Chips Ahoy and am interested in setting up a meeting to
discuss the possibility of its headlining the Festival next year.
The acting and the cinemetography were very impressive and the
comedic value of the chocolate chips was a pleasure to watch.
Personally. I enjoyed the "chip eater" character the best becuase I too
can empathize with the need for chocolate. That being said, our
favorite part was the moment Ms. Naughlis started shoving the chocolate
chips into her mouth because she was overwhelmed with the desire to
consume all of the chips before they ran out. It was riveting to
watch.
If you were to film a sequel, we at the Sundance Film Festival would
love to see more tension over the chips and possibly watch you baking
cookies. This short film receives a rating of 3 1/2 cats.
It would be wonderful to hear back from you. I would like to
know your salary requests so that when we meet I can have a contract
ready to sign. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Sundance Film Festival
I told them that I wanted lots and lots of chips. Because duh, I'm the lead.
Sara responded with "wow it is quite an honor to be the favorite character in a film that I wasn't even the lead in. I can't wait for Chips Ahoy 2: The Curse of the Chocolate Chip"
Kate was probably too busy holding famous babies to respond.
...
I'll end here with a picture that speaks for itself.

So here's the deal.
Streamer stealer will stop the insanity.
I'll post more frequently.
And you find me a place to live next year.

Horay for the return of the blog entry! And horay for sorority pledges who send out mock sundance letters! xoxo amy
The picture of Judy and Tegan is so good. It is not so terribly flattering though. Just showing things as they are.
that passover montage was beautiful.
