First day in the dorms
I woke up at the lovely hour of 9 and Tegan and I shared our first breakfast.
Then she ran off to do one of her programs because, after all, she is the program advisor. And here's her badge to prove it.

I then had I sat in on lunch with Renata, which later turned into lunch with Claire. It is exciting to be able to see everyone in the span of minutes, as opposed to driving across california. Claire's mom and her friend Ali also joined us for lunch. I have reached new heights of love for Ali because not only is she hysterical, but she also reads my blog. Hysterical AND reads my blog? Thats all I really need in a friend.
Here is claire decorating.

A bit later, Jared came.

Amazing to see him, I must say.
I accompanied these folks (jared's brother, mom, roomate and jared)

to the Moca to see the Basquiat exhibit, plus fun festivities like film screenings and djs and such. The turnout was super hipster, which made for great people watching - but surprisingly enough the actual art was my favorite. I was never impressed by Basquiat when I saw his stuff in books and such - but the original is extremely powerful and beautiful.
